Welcome to the Bike Rally Photography Blog!
This blog is dedicated to teaching bikers, or anyone for that matter, how to take better photographs.
Whether your a complete amateur just using a point-and-shot camera or a professional, I’ll be giving you tips that can take your photos from ordinary to extrordinay, maybe even works of art.
Bike rallies cover a lot of different types of photography; concert, street, night, portraiture, even landscape photography—and each has its own challenges. Even taking a photograph of a motorcycle can be difficult. Mastering each area though can bring incredible opportunity to make amazing photographs.
For most of us photography is about documenting our experiences: I was here, I saw this, we did this, etc.. But wouldn’t it be great if you knew a few tricks that would help you document your feelings as well? My hope is with a few tips on how to take better photos you will be able to get some of the emotion you felt as well. I’ve had numerous people tell me, “I love your pictures, you really captured the feeling of the rally.” My hope is I can pass some of that on to you.
It’s my hope that you will follow me as we both learn how to meet these challenges and make some incredible photographs. I hope we can both benefit from one another’s experience. No one, no matter how long he or she has been into photography, knows everything. It is a life long pursuit to get better. You can have a point-and-shoot camera or an expensive professional model, it doesn’t matter in many cases. I will be giving you tips that can be applied to both. The point is to have fun and improve your skills and give your photos that “WOW” factor.
Hope to see you at the next Rally.
